Anyone know if we can claim growing supplies as medical expenses on income tax?
Absolutely.
Cultivation supplies are attributable to inventory and thereby deductible through Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). Cogs is the allowable deduction under IRC 280E.

Hello Tony, I make no excuses for not responding. I apologize. If you have not already obtained this information.
There are several things that must happen before seeking or even securing capital for a dispensary; especially a startup. Things to consider:
(1) Do you own land in an opportunity zone, or have the ability to purchase it?
(2) Do you the team required to successfully operate a dispensary?
(3) Are you purchasing a pre-existing license or applying to secure a new license?
(4) If either, do you need just once license?
(5) What are you looking to do at your dispensary and sell?
(6) Do you have a business plan that is investment ready?
(7) How much skin in the game did you put in?
(8) What is your ask (how much capital will you need)?
(9) What is your offering (what percentage of equity are you offering an investor)?
(10) What's your exit strategy?
Be sure that all business partners and team members have clean criminal backgrounds, professional or hands-on experience and finally; be sure they are all aligned with your vision and how you see it being carried out.
Again, I apologize for the extremely delayed response. I will be sure to activate my subscription to receive emails when someone asks me a question.
Good luck and much success!

Seems like the cannabis related cryptos to date have been scams. Why will the future be different than the past?

I cannot comment on whether or not the 17 cannabis based cryptocurrencies are or are not a scam. I can however state that from what I have seen in the media some of those cannabis based cryptocurrencies "may" have actual use cases in the cannabis industry. See Growers International and PotCoin. Also, see Paragon Coin, I have not used it myself but from what I read/seen this cannabis based cryptocurrency is a unit of exchange, among others, in the Paragon eco system which includes the Paragon co-working space in LA.
Two companies you should really pay attention to are Alt36 and POSaBIT, fully registered MSBs operating in multiple jurisdictions providing the cannabis industry access to digital payments.
Make sure you come to our Avantpay|19 Conference in Washington, DC to learn more! www.avantpay.io

I know of a friend who knows a lot of Cannabis website and e-Commerce
his name is Tom Benway with 420Websitedesign.com
i am pretty sure he can advise you and design you a website.
in the other hand, I promote business “one to one” concept. We import Coconut Seed Pipes from Ecuador. We handcrafted Cannabis Companies Logo types on the Seeds. Lastly those companies give away or sell their pipes that have their logo image to their prospects and prefer clients.
Ecologically way of Advertising! and Appreciation to Mother Earth and your Branding. Hope to hear from you soon 🙂
