Are any institutional investors taking advantage of the Colorado boom in demand for industrial space for marijuana growers (class-B and class-C warehouses)?
Hi Doug, thanks for your inquiry. Until the federal government legalizes marijuana, I don't believe institutional investors will enter the industry. However, there are quite a few institutional size investors that are coming into the market with significant amounts of capital. So, suffice it to say, we are seeing institutional size investors, but not traditional institutional investors per se. I'd be happy to discuss further. Please give a call when you have time if you'd like to chat. 720-323-0956.

We've seen institutional type investors look at many opportunities in Colorado but since the majority of "institutional" investors can't invest in the industry there hasn't been much actual activity at the institutional level. This will change when the federal government allows for the industry as institutional investors won't have the restrictions they currently have with cannabis being federally illegal.
