Where do cannabis clubs exist in the US today?

So far, cannabis clubs have only been codified in local regulation in a few cities in Colorado and implicitly statewide here and in Washington for municipalities and counties that have no expressly prohibited or regulated social clubs or lounges. I tried to have the State define a social club and exempt it from the Colorado Clean Indoor Air Act in 2012 and, currently, there is no Statewide regulation of clubs or lounges in CO or WA. 

Depending on where and how you plan on opening a club will determine many of the aspects of legality as to whether the club will exist for any prolonged period of time and the risks involved with providing that kind of space.

Cannabis Clubs are a complex topic and although many states have legalized medical or recreational marijuana, many more of them fail to create consumption venues for the public. Its an issue we recognized early on in Colorado, and a few cities around the State have permitted these types of business while many more have banned them outright.

Beyond Colorado, Washington has done some work to allow consumption clubs along with Alaska at State-wide levels. Nevada is currently working on laws to allow for consumption clubs as well. Its anticipated that California will have to figure it out eventually along with other States where recreational marijuana has been approved.
